We encourage you to stay in touch with us and update us should any of your personal details change during the term of your agreement. Have you moved to a new house, changed your contact details or any of your personal details including insurance? Please update us.
Providing us with your updated information will not only maintain the validity of your agreement, but will also enable us to contact you towards the end of your agreement to discuss your options, exciting offers and, most importantly, provide you with an efficient service into the future.

Travelling to neighbouring countries?
Should you wish to take your financed vehicle across the border, there are several requirements you will need to adhere to. Firstly, you will need to obtain a border crossing letter from us. Requesting one is quick and easy, just logon to your self-service and request one, Alternatively, you can contact us by e-mail, phone or post from our contact us section.
Secondly, you still need to ensure that you have adequate comprehensive insurance cover for your vehicle and have this confirmation at hand when you request the border crossing letter. The letter will be sent to you immediately after you have requested it, but please note this will only allow for travel for a period of up to 30 days; thereafter, a new letter will be required.
Request Changes to Your Agreement
Going through some changes in your life – be it that you have moved banks, changed employers and would like to change your debit order date, we at Volkswagen Financial Services South Africa understand that change is inevitable and that everyone’s circumstance change from time to time. Whatever change it is, all you need to do is to let us know/update us to maintain the validity of your account, and help us to provide you with an efficient service.
Changing Your Debit Order Details
We appreciate the effort in keeping your credit providers updated when you change your bank details. At Volkswagen Financial Services South Africa, we strive to do our best to ensure this process is as simple as possible, so all you have to do is complete a quick debit order authorisation form and send it back to us with proof of your account to finalise the change for you.
Please note that for security reasons, we need a separate form completed for each finance agreement you hold with Volkswagen Financial Services South Africa.
Verified stamped bank statements (not older than three months) confirming the new banking details must accompany all requests. Should the change apply to a company account (CC or Pty Ltd), please supply the bank statements confirming the new banking details & authorised signatory of the bank account on a company letterhead. (Members or Directors).
Please note that in order for the new banking details to be activated, we require five business days’ notice before the next debit order due date.

The direct debit account must be held in the agreement holders name.
Changing Your Payment Date
Depending on the finance agreement you have with us, you may be able to amend your monthly contract payment date 21 days forwards or backwards from the original payment date. However, we need to be advised at least 14 days before your next payment is due.
You can only amend your payment date once per annum.

Changing Your Registration Number
You finally got the that personalised number plate you have always wanted. Great news!
Updating your registration number is quick and easy.
We would like to keep your vehicle details up-to-date to maintain the validity of your finance agreement throughout. Do not forget to log into your account to update us with the new registration number.
Making a Partial Payment
We are flexible and in our flexibility, we allow you to make partial payments towards your finance agreement. Depending on the type of finance agreement you have with us, you may be able to make a lump sum payment and either reduce your agreement term or on-going monthly instalments.
The options available to you when you make a partial payment are as follows:

Requesting a Statement
Keeping you updated throughout your finance agreement is our promise.; Depending on your agreement type, you will receive different updates at different times, but you are always able to request updates whenever you like.

If you have an instalment sale or lease finance agreement with us, you can request a copy of a previous VAT schedule. The VAT schedule details all payments due for up to 12 months. Some businesses use it to recover the VAT charged as each due date/tax point is reached.

For you to make the payment arrangement, please contact us during our operating hours; make sure that you have your vehicle finance account number and/or identity number at hand. Our operating hours are from Monday – Friday between the hours of 8h00 – 17h00.
On Saturday, our operating hours are from 08h00 – 12h00.
