VWFS SA COOKIE POLICY

This site uses cookies. We use cookies mainly to improve and analyse your experience on our websites, as well as for marketing purposes.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer when you access certain web pages. Cookies allow a web page, among other things, to store and retrieve information about the browsing habits of a user or their computer, in this case, anonymously. They can also be used to measure the audience, traffic and navigation parameters, session time, and / or control the progress and number of entries.

As indicated, cookies offer information about the browsing habits of users and consequently may affect their privacy. It is for this reason, we want to offer you the necessary information about the type of cookies used on our website, in that you then have a full decision-making capacity in relation to the use of them and in relation to the protection of your privacy.

Cookies set by us are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than us are called “third party cookies”. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g. like personalized advertising and analytics).

COOKIE SETTINGS:

For our site to operate correctly, you need to have cookies enabled. If you decide not to enable cookies, you can still browse the site, but many key features will not be available.

At any time, you can change your web browser settings to reject or delete cookies that have already been saved on your computer. This can be done by using the 'Delete History' options found in the menu-bar within your web browser. However, this will prevent some parts of the website from working correctly on your computer.

For specific information about how cookies are handled on your own PC or Internet enabled device, or how you control the use of cookies, you will need to consult the user guides or instructions held within your PC device operating instructions.  Alternatively, you can visit the user help instructions held within your specific Internet browser software itself.

HOW TO DISABLE COOKIES AT ANY TIME?

You can change your browser settings to delete or prevent certain cookies from being stored on your computer or mobile device. The ‘help’ section in your browser should provide information on how to manage the cookie settings in the browser. However, it should be noted that the blocking of cookies might affect the site functionality.

If you want to accept only cookies by us but not the cookies from third parties, you can typically (depending on your browser) select from your browser settings “Block third-party cookies”.

WHAT KIND OF COOKIES ARE USED BY US?

1. Session cookies: While you are active on a website, a session cookie is temporarily stored in your computer's memory, in which a session identifier is saved, for example to prevent you from having to log in again every time you change pages. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or lose their validity as soon as your session has automatically expired.

2. Permanent or protocol cookies: A permanent or protocol cookie stores a file on your computer for the period specified in the expiration date. These cookies allow websites to remember your information and settings the next time you visit, which leads to faster and more convenient access. Once the expiry date has passed, the cookie is automatically deleted when you visit the website that generated it.

3. First Party / Own Cookies: these cookies are created by our company. They are stored and sent between our servers and your computer’s hard drive. These cookies may either be Session or Persistent cookies.

  • Necessary Cookies: These enable core functionality. Our website cannot function properly without these cookies, and they can only be disabled by changing your browser preferences (please note if disabled our website may not work or show correctly on your device).
  • Functionality / Personalisation Cookies: These are used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalise our content for you and remember your preferences. They are those that allow the user to remember information so that the user accesses the service with certain characteristics that can differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as, for example, the language, the number of results to show when the user performs a search, the appearance or content of the service depending on the type of browser through which the user accesses the service or the region from which he accesses the service, etc.
  • Adobe Analytics Cookies: They are used to analyse the browsing habits of users, with the aim of optimizing the functionalities, technical and operational maintenance of the VWFS websites and portals and guaranteeing the best possible service. They collect information that is used in aggregate form, they allow us to recognise, count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the site when they’re using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example by making sure users easily find the information required and to enhance features. This site uses Google Analytics and Adobe reporting software
  • Adobe Targeting Cookies: These cookies record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our website and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.
  • Market Advertising Cookies: They are those cookies that allow the storage of information on the behaviour of users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows the development of a specific user profile. In this way, they are used to personalise the advertising campaigns that are adjusted to the user's preferences.

4. Third Party Cookies: Third-party cookies come from providers other than our organisation. For example, they can be used to collect information for advertising, custom content, and web statistics. Third-party cookies are those managed by technical, analysis, social media, personalisation, and advertising service providers (including behavioural advertising) outside of our organisation. These cookies are usually Persistent cookies.

  • Advertising Cookies: These third-party cookies are used to deliver ads more relevant to you. They will also limit the number of times you see a particular ad as well as measure the effectiveness of the ad campaigns. They remember your device’s visit to the site and help to understand shopping behaviours. These cookies thus improve our site by providing ads and offers of interest. Further, they enable you to like or recommend us on social media (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest) and help you to rate and review our products. The respective third parties are responsible for such cookies and for their own data processing.
